SECTION 1: Submitting YOUR OWN pictures
We are looking for SUPER SEXY!!!
This includes but not limited to,
Super Sexy Club-wear,
Lingerie,
Urban Glamour,
Boy-shorts,
thongs,
swim suits / bikini’s,
heels,
implied topless, implied nude,
baby oiled up skin, bright lights etc.
So, If you’re shy or have any hangups about your body, this is NOT the magazine for you!
SECTION 2: A Photo shoot with our photographer (NY/NJ/CT/parts of PA area/traveling through)
Models that are in the NJ area are welcome and advised to shoot with our Director of Photography. Shooting with him assures (almost guarantees) that your gallery is EXACTLY what we are looking for. He also can help you with improving / adding to your portfolio. Having worked with numerous magazines for over 10 years, he is able to give you what you need to get where you want to go with your modeling career…including professional video (click here for a video sample) (and with EXCELLENT rates for this f*cked up economic time)

1) WHEN SHOOTING FOR PRINTED PUBLICATIONS YOU DO NOT GET A DISK!!!!!
You will receive a copy of all PUBLISHED pictures after release of the magazine, WHY?
I don’t need my content on myspace and MM before my street date. I’m sure you can understand.
2) WHEN YOU APPEAR AT A Got Curves Magazine sponsored CASTING CALL, YOU MUST BRING A TWO PIECE.
Lingerie or swimsuit item. You will be evaluated in person in a two piece at our first meeting. Photoshop has been a great deceiver in the past (and I am a Photoshop Expert!). Well…NO MORE!!
This is required and there are no exceptions.
3) IMPLIED NUDITY
IF YOU DON’T KNOW WHAT THIS IS…ASK.
It may or may not be asked of you so if this is not what you want to do, let us know right then and there!! Don’t waste our time and yours!
4) BAIT AND SWITCH
Agreeing to shoot what we’re asking for then showing up and saying: “I don’t do that.” The shoot will be over and pics deleted and you will be asked to leave the set. You aren’t too cute for this to happen. All cards are being laid out up front here. We won’t ask you for something that isn’t explained here, so don’t surprise us either.
Last but CERTAINLY not least…
5) FLAKES.
Schedule an appointment and do a no call no show, and you will NEVER work with us in the future.
(Never ever??….) NEVER EVER!!
I Don’t care who you are, or what you’ve done in the past or for whoever. That is TOTALLY Unprofessional and Highly Unacceptable!! I have a team I work with who I have to call at the last minute to tell them you flaked, in time or they will show up for NOTHING.
If you cannot make it, call AT LEAST 24 OR MORE HOURS in advance. Calling the same day OR calling to cancel at the time you are scheduled is UNACCEPTABLE. (Depending on your situation. I am very reasonable, but I’ve heard the most creative excuses ever, so make it good.)
More Got Curves “Points” of Interest:
1) What is Got Curves (GotCurves) Magazine about?
The goal we are aiming for is to raise the level of glamour magazines. Showcasing desirable women in SUPER Sexy scenarios but also comparable in quality to what is considered mainstream by the masses. Models range in size and shapes… from Size 0 – 14 (a SHAPELY size 14!!!) So there is something for EVERYONE to admire and appreciate.
2) High quality pics, not:
OVER-PHOTOSHOPPED, OVER-SATURATED, OVER-PROCESSED.
Pics that you can ACTUALLY put in your port and submit to a legitimate AGENCY! And be PROUD OF!! There is NOTHING worse than having a model show up to a casting or a shoot and she looks NOTHING like her pictures!! If you intend to photoshop your pictures, you had better be working out in the gym to get yourself looking like your pictures!!! Or expect to have a very short meeting at the casting or event. #justsaying
3) Is wardrobe, hair, and makeup provided?
At times, yes, but not for test shoots. If I ask you to test shoot with us, then its because I need to see something in your port that’s not there, or how you interact in a glamour shoot. If makeup IS provided, it is going to be done by someone looking for test purposes / portfolio building…and not by my regular / main makeup artist.
4) BE FOR REAL!!!
If you have a Wannabe Manager / Home-girl / Boyfriend, Please DO NOT have them contact us. We are tired of dealing with these “types”. If you are signed to a LEGITIMATE AGENCY, please inform us. (you SHOULD know if they are legitimate or not… if you don’t… then you REALLY need to re-think your OWN business plan and how you plan to survive in this already tough industry…). Trust me… I will put them through the ringer!!! If they can not prove to me that they are legitimate or can handle their business, you AND your wannabe manager will get your feelings hurt!
5) Measurements:
Height: must be at least 4’10” tall.
Breast size: (preferably a full C cup but not mandatory – as long as your body is proportionate we will accept your submission),
Waist size: (21-29 inches) hips/booty (36-45 inches).
Bottomline we like our models to be curvy and PROPORTIONATE because that’s what our readers want to see! Not a square box torso.
6) Age:
Models must be between 18-45 years of age and look youthful and have government photo ID proving they’re at least 18 years old.
7) Location:
All PRINTED ISSUE cover shoots are done by our Director of Photography. Models who live in the NY/NJ/CT/PA area (or traveling through) get first consideration for cover shoots and preferential treatment. (He is an excellent photographer that can also improve your portfolio with excellent rates…especially with the way today’s economy is going).
Not in the local area? You are STILL welcome to send in your own pictures to us.
